Education rooted in a deeper understanding of Islam

  • Educational programmes for our children

We provide educational programmes for our children after school to deepen their understanding of Islam, helping them to connect with their Creator and comprehend their purpose on earth. This initiative serves a dual purpose: to prevent our children from loitering on the streets after school and to shield them from negative influences.

These children, aged eight years and above, are the “chosen ones,” their innocence radiating from their youthful faces. Engaged in the memorisation of the Qu’ran, they gather on prayer mats, dressed in traditional kurta salwars and skull caps.

Before delving into the specifics of our curriculum, it is essential to understand the current educational structure. A typical Madrasa like ours offers two primary courses of study.

  • The ‘Hifz’ Course

This course focuses on the complete memorisation of the Qu’ran. Students who commit the entire Qu’ran to memory are known as ‘Hafiz.’ It is a rigorous and sacred endeavour, deeply ingrained in Islamic tradition.

  • The ‘Aalimiyat’ Course

This course is designed to cultivate students into accepted scholars of Islam within the community. The curriculum encompasses a range of subjects, including:

  • Arabic: The language of the Qu’ran, essential for a comprehensive understanding of Islamic texts.
  • Tafsir: The study of Quranic interpretation, delving into the meanings and explanations of verses.
  • Shariah: The Islamic law, guiding the lives of Muslims in matters of ethics, morality, and conduct.
  • Hadith: The recorded sayings and actions of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), serving as a crucial source of guidance for Muslims.
